So I went to my second ever cosplay convention this weekend - ridiculously busy, once again, but filled with wonderful geeky stalls and artwork and people celebrating fandom (mostly Adventure Time and Doctor Who, it seemed!) There were some AMAZING cosplays, I got my book signed by Trudi Canavan, got to hear her and Raymond E Fiest and some other fantasy authors speak, and (highlight!) got to see Alan Tudyk talking about Firefly, Dollhouse, Heath Ledger and being nude on set (from Death at a Funeral).
Unfortunately I missed Karl Urban and Carrie Fisher's talks, but I got one celebrity, and both days' cosplay competitions, so overall - Supanova trip was a great success! (Even though it rained all the time). We even managed to duck into Kinokuniya before we left, and I got the latest book in the manga series I'm reading as well as Ellen Kushner's Thomas the Rhymer.
