Hello everyone! Took me a while to get a post up, as uni has just started term 4 (*cough* yay) and of course the first weekend must be spent frantically writing up a biology lab report. INCLUDING statistical analysis - which I'm in two minds about. Maths is annoying, especially when it crops up in places I don't expect it to (says the person doing a biology degree) but now my suffering through a statistics course in first semester is justified.
Anyway, now that's finally out the way, I can talk about nice things, not why my results look so strange! Welcome to Laurel's journal!

Hello and thanks! Yes, I love Finnikin of the Rock, I first heard about it when someone did it for their oral in English. They were very enthusiastic over it :D I haven't read the sequel to it though, have you?

Yes, a friend of mine pretty much sat me down and glared at me until I put it on my library pull list. They were right to, it is great!

I actually just finishede sequel the other day and it is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS. I mean, I really enjoyed it, but it's like someone took Finnikin of the Rock and put it in a blender with twelve Gothic novels and Little Miss Sunshine.

It's MORE gothic than Finnikin? That's pretty impressive . . . and given that I adore Little Miss Sunshine, I am definitely reading this. One day. Just like I'll definitely read the other 50-odd books on my reading list >.>

YAY for Marvel! I am sadly under-educated in this area, since I haven't actually read any Marvel comics, just seen most of the movies. Fayhe says I should talk to you about Natasha/Clint, they make me squee :D All the more fun when highly trained assassins go all cutely awkward around each other!

Oh, I mostly ignore comics - my playground is the movies, and I'll occasionally nod at comic-backgrounds and ideas. But mostly, ehhhhh, comics.

Clint/Natasha currently own my soul to a ridiculous degree - they are basically all I write right now. I heart them, and ahhhh, feelings. And them being dorks off-duty, and all of that trust, whatever their exact relationship may be, and ahhhh, so much fun.

Hello! I don't know as much as I would like about superhero comics, but I am definitely enthusiastic about them :D And the Thor film is awesome - it and Avengers just make me want to put Thor and Loki in a room together (reinforced, naturally) and say JUST GET ALONG, ALREADY!! YOU TWO MAKE MY HEART SAD.
