Hello Yuletide Author!

This is my first year doing Yuletide, so I'm very excited about this! Thankfully I have a seasoned Yuletide friend to help me through it. If you get a wonderful idea you really want to write, please go ahead! These are just some suggestions if you want some starting points :D



Fandom 1: Kingkiller Chronicles - Patrick Rothfuss

'Any backstory on the characters (especially Auri, and/or how Bast met Kvothe) would be appreciated!'

It doesn't have to be backstory, it can be present or future, I just find these character's lack of backstory most interesting! I'd also be interested in Devi, Kvothe and Master Elodin if you want to include them. I particularly love the originality, humour and openness of the books.

Fandom 2: Bourne movies

'Relationships/action sequences/as much witty dialogue as you please!'

Along the witty dialogue lines, there is usually some wonderful banter between Jason Bourne and Pamela Landy or Nicky Parsons, if you want to include those characters as well. An AU where Marie survives would be very interesting!

Fandom 3: Demon's Lexicon

'I love almost everything about this series, but the twisty interactions and motivations and dark humour are close to the top. I picked these two because I love their awkward friendship, but all the characters are wonderful, so put in as many others as you want.'

Prefer friendship over slash for these two. Maybe exploring how their dynamic changed during Jamie's infiltration of the Obsidian Circle?

Fandom 4: Slings and Arrows

'Would love to see some of Geoffrey's and Darren's exploits together in university.'

I love these two's arrogance and flamboyance, and the banter and the theatre commentary of the series in general. Putting on a production of Much Ado About Nothing would be awesome! Any elaboration of the intriguing pasts of these two characters (and/or Oliver and Ellen) would be interesting.

In general:

I like humour (dark or light), clever dialogue/general wordplay, action and descriptions. Any AU/crossovers/gen/slash/het you like!

I don't like explicit sex or torture descriptions - people getting hurt or horny is fine, but please hint or stay light with it and don't go into the full details.
